Women cell at College of Applied Science, Mavelikara is a platform to enlighten the female students to strive to create a better and just society by teaching their legal rights and empowering the women through the promotion of gender equality. It aims for the welfare, to recognize their true potential and to make their own space in the world. This forum encourages young women’s overall development, enhance self esteem and empower them in making appropriate decisions.

Activities 2021-22
Anti- Dowry campaign
Women cell functioning in the college had conducted two days “Anti – dowry campaign” with the support of Taluk Legal services Authority on 18th and 20th July 2020. The webinar was conducted over two days for all students of the college. The two days webinar discussed various legal supports that a woman has at her disposal. The first day of the campaign was inaugurated by, Sri. Kenneth George, Addl. District and session Judge III,Mavelikara. Presided by Smt. Laila Jasmin, Principal college of Applied Science, Mavelikara. The keynote address was delivered by Adv. P. Binu. Second day of the program was Inaugurated by Smt. Minimol F, Sub Judge, Mavelikara. Sri. Satheesh Varghese, Senior Lecturer In Electronics presided the meeting . The keynote Address was delivered by Adv. Suresh Kumar. The meeting was successfully organized and accomplished the task of providing all the relevant legal advices.
National Girl Child Day
A webinar was conducted under the title “ Personal Mastery Towards Womanhood”. The chief guest of the programme was Ms.Gopikrishna R,Asst. Prof in History, SD College Alappuzha, who elucidated the art of being focused to reach the destined role of womanhood. Webinar was about self realization of one’s own goal.
